Rugby Field Update

HRFC Perseverance Fields in Sunset Park 

If you haven’t seen the evolution, look off to your left, as you head up the hill to Sunset Golf course.

The Harrisburg Rugby Football Club’s (HRFC) Perseverance Field continues to see progress. The trees, stumps, and stones have been removed, the area has been mostly graded, and the retention pond is complete. The next steps include the acquisition and disbursal of additional topsoil, installing the light poles, and ongoing fundraising efforts to ensure the final phases of the project are on track. HRFC is currently on the hunt for professional-grade stadium light fixtures to install atop the poles to enable after-hours practices and games for local youth sports clubs.

As efforts in Sunset Park continue, the club will be playing the Spring 2020 Season at Memorial Park in Highspire and welcomes the opportunity to introduce you to their beloved sport.

March 28 at 1 pm - Harrisburg Men vs Northern Virginia Rugby Club

April 4  at 11 am - Harrisburg Women vs.  Norfolk Storm

April 11  at 11 am - Harrisburg Women vs. North East Philadelphia Irish; 1:30  Harrisburg Men vs. Millersville University

April 18 at 11 am - Harrisburg Women vs. Brandywine Riot

April 25 time – TBD for Women’s Mid Atlantic Playoffs
