Hill Island Floodplain Inspections

NOTICE TO LOT OWNERS/LESSEES OF HILL ISLAND OF LONDONDERRY TOWNSHIP FLOODPLAIN INSPECTIONS FROM APPROXIMATELY JULY 24 THROUGH JULY 30 2020, DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER.

 

As part of the ongoing comprehensive floodplain enforcement initiatives of Londonderry Township, the Township will be conducting inspections of the exteriors of Hill island properties in order to check compliance with the requirements of Chapter 27 (Zoning), Part 15 (“Floodplain Development Ordinance”) of the Londonderry Township Code of Ordinances, as well as to assure that the properties are maintained in accordance with the International Property Maintenance Code (“IPMC”) as adopted by the Township under Ordinance 2010-2.

 

The review will involve documenting any and all construction activities completed since the previous visit and note existing property conditions to assure compliance with the IPMC.

 

The inspections are expected to occur during the hours from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:00p..m., and will continue day to day until completed. 

 

Township Codes officials with have proper identification.  

 

Any violations may result in a Notice of Violation letter being sent to the owner/lessee of record with a time frame for compliance.  A summary also will be included as part of ongoing reports sent to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”).
